hunting the elusive MoJo...

so far so good today but it has definately been a struggle lately to just get going. not enough coffee in the universe to get me outta my own way.
i have found that if i put chynna on the bus and go for my walk i am able to accomplish a lot more than if i put the walk off. i also found www.mapmywalk.com which has been cool to keep track of my miles.
my scales are way different than the doctors so i am clueless everytime i try to see how the numbers look. my pants are still tight so not much progress yet i guess...lol.
until next time, this is me trying to keep moving. hugs, mama carolyn

trust???

if you gaze for long into an abyss,
the abyss gazes also into you.

-Friedrich Nietzsche

i find this quote fascinating. i tend to try and see peoples reasoning behind what they do to the point of perhaps exposing my own vulnerabilities to them.
people are very interesting to me. trusting a mere human with that which causes you the most pain is kinda foolish if you think about it.
who can we truly trust and can we trust them forever or only for as long as we are in their good graces?

time flies...

i am freakin out that this is already the end of the month. how does it go by so fast? i think as soon as i turned 35 my sense of time got all whacked.
ironic that when you get to a point in your life where things are how you want them to be time starts to slip by faster so you can't enjoy it.
anywho...until next time. hugs, mama carolyn

life is interesting...

sometimes people come into our lives and we are not really sure why. until one day when you think its just gonna be a regular old day and something happens. it could be something big like illness or death or it could be something small like seeing the first tulip pop up out of the ground.
today i figured it was just going to be a regular day. i was drawn to log on to my instant messenger which i never do during a work day. i saw that an aquaintence was online so i made myself available and i asked her if she was ok. i had been feeling for the last few days that something was wrong with her. that in itself was unusual because we really aren't that close that i should notice or maybe even care. anywho... i asked and she said no that she'd been having a rough time. we talked for probably an hour and during that time something happened. a light went on in my head/heart and i felt like this is what i was meant to do today; listen and encourage someone who was down. i tend to be a very black and white person and sometimes come off harsh but i think it was exactly what she needed today. someone to say "hey you are the only one in charge of how you feel so do what you gotta do to make yourself happy." like i said life is interesting. by the end of the conversation i think i have a new friend and that makes this regular day pretty darn special to me. until next time. hugs, mama carolyn
